I heard from Geoff a few weeks ago and he mentioned that Broken Sleep were going to publish his Collected Poems. I really hope it goes ahead; his poems deserve a massive audience.

I was very sad to hear that Geoff Hattersley died this week. Geoff was a big influence when I started writing in the 1980s, because of his fabulous poems and his legendary magazine, The Wide Skirt. Getting published in TWS was hugely enouraging back then. I heard..cont'd below

So sad to hear of the death of the marvellous poet and editor Geoff Hattersley. The Wide Skirt was a wonderful magazine and press and his poems found their way deep into the South Yorkshire soul and illuminated it for the world.
