The participants identified key WEE issues and came up with advocacy strategies to tackle weak institutions, limited access to funds, and lack of awareness of existing opportunities.

The Dialogue highlighted the importance of developing a holistic set of policies and measures to promote the multiple dimensions of women’s economic empowerment in Enugu State.

A Comparative Analysis of the Subnational 2022 WEE Budgetary Allocation showed that the 7 states compared (Bauchi, Edo, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Enugu and Lagos) allocated less than 1% of their budget to WEE-specific projects.
