The UK is well underway to decarbonise it's economy. Electric vehicles are a growing part of this progress, leading a less reliance on fossil fuel imports, less exposure to price volatility, and lower costs for drivers. Tackling #climatechange can be done.

We just published another major update of the Global Carbon Budget. Same result. Global peak emissions is not yet here, despite some (major) progress in renewables, electric cars and deforestation. via @ConversationEDU.

I'm pleased to see the UK government has adopted our @theccc advice to aim to cut UK emissions by 81% by 2035, providing clarity to businesses and households. UK emissions have already been cut in half thanks to steady progress in clean technology #COP29.
