found a new type of bug.. I'm calling it Mandrake issue :) you look at it... the issue is hapening somewhere.. but it was actually somewhere else :) I had an error condition that damaged a data structure, the issue manifested only a few days later. almost impossible to catch it

When you process a H1B visa you need to prove there is no American available to get that job. Not sure where Trump see abuse of H1B. It will be cheaper to send jobs anywhere else in the world.

everybody talks about gun control when there are shootings.. Sure.. guns are part of the issue... but the press should also regulate itself. making these things mega events will only induce sick kids to look for that attention to themselves. they dream for the attention!

A submarine doesn’t swim—it "artificially" floats. AI doesn’t think—it "artificially" simulates thought. When computers achieve sentient general intelligence, will we call it Synthetic Intelligence instead?

talking about it.. I miss when we would talk about coding / other things on twitter. it's kind of heavy these days... can we start speaking about open source again instead of Trump / Doge / etc. or am I speaking alone here?

I'm not sure if I still have an audience here as it seems X is only about politics now. In case people are still listening: I am doing some really nice changes In ActiveMQ Artemis' Paging System. Producers are batching IO and are really fast now. https://t.co/aHJDIZme5Z
github.com
This is improving how locking works by using a single threaded executor on paging and depaging as well as batching writes instead of directly writing on the files from the producers.

Does anyone work on @facebook or know anyone? My daughter played in a beautiful concert and Facebook cut the audio claiming copyright. It’s all original or Public domain and someone from Facebook need to restore the audio. https://t.co/ZhgYNEivwn
