Looking for an easy DIY puzzle? Recycle box tops from your cupboard by cutting the front side into a puzzle. Increase the difficulty of the puzzle by cutting the pieces smaller, or encourage your child to cut his or her own pieces. #joyfulmath #MTBoS #homeschooling #Covid_19

A group of children enjoyed mixing and naming their own shades of yellow after seeing the many different yellows in the book “Pantone Colors”. Love all of the imaginative shades they created including “Light Force Yellow” and “Sonic Gold Yellow”.

We have been reading many wonderful books about colours. After a unanimous vote on our graph, the children all voted to turn dry markers into new paint by first sorting the markers by colour and then adding water. Many children enjoyed trying out the paint they all helped to make

One of our friend’s Alma Thomas inspired transient art pieces has led us to learn about area. The children are enjoying using square tiles to find the area of different figures on grid paper.
