Revisiting this classic today ❤️ From Ride the High Country (1962) comes one of my all-time favorite film lines: “All I want is to enter my house justified.” #ClassicFilms #Peckinpah #RideTheHighCountry #Westerns #JoelMcCrea #RandolphScott #Quote

Ok, so this has been going on for a bit and figured it was time to start to formalize these ideas a little as I don't hear enough of the research shops talking about this...I think we all need to start brushing up on our metaphysics again😉

As autumn nears, I can’t help but think of these poignant lines from Alice Adams (1935). Everything about this scene - the music, the lighting, and the dialogue - reminds me why I fell in love with Old Hollywood ❤️ #ClassicFilms #TCMParty

I recently watched Mister 880 (1950) and loved it! Burt Lancaster stars as a Secret Service agent on the trail of an elusive counterfeiter, while Dorothy McGuire charms as his suspect-turned-romantic-interest. It’s a clever, well-acted comedy with a poignant ending. #ClassicFilms

Watched This Gun for Hire (1942) last week and loved it! Lake and Ladd star in this fast-paced noir about an assassin’s quest to take down the man who framed him…and the girl who stood in his way. Well-acted and riveting, it’s worth a look for any fan of the genre. #ClassicFilms

Recently watched Dark Passage (1947) starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Their chemistry is a highlight, as are the intriguing script and memorable performances. It’s hard to outshine them, but Agnes Moorehead nearly steals the show as “Madge”. It’s a treat! #ClassicFilms

@Crisopera1 @ginadalfonzo I think that in this single shot, General Stewart reached the highest level of art. This is a man fresh from the war over Germany, a man who survived casualties of 70% while leading from the front. The rawest scene of pure agony and fatherly love ever filmed.
