Revisiting this classic today ❤️ From Ride the High Country (1962) comes one of my all-time favorite film lines: “All I want is to enter my house justified.” #ClassicFilms #Peckinpah #RideTheHighCountry #Westerns #JoelMcCrea #RandolphScott #Quote

Ok, so this has been going on for a bit and figured it was time to start to formalize these ideas a little as I don't hear enough of the research shops talking about this...I think we all need to start brushing up on our metaphysics again😉

As autumn nears, I can’t help but think of these poignant lines from Alice Adams (1935). Everything about this scene - the music, the lighting, and the dialogue - reminds me why I fell in love with Old Hollywood ❤️ #ClassicFilms #TCMParty

I recently discovered The Story of Alexander Graham Bell (1939) and found it inspiring! Don Ameche plays the brilliant inventor with humor and heart, while Loretta Young shines as his devoted wife. The Bells’ story of struggle and perseverance still resonates. #ClassicFilms

Watched This Gun for Hire (1942) last week and loved it! Lake and Ladd star in this fast-paced noir about an assassin’s quest to take down the man who framed him…and the girl who stood in his way. Well-acted and riveting, it’s worth a look for any fan of the genre. #ClassicFilms

Recently watched Dark Passage (1947) starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Their chemistry is a highlight, as are the intriguing script and memorable performances. It’s hard to outshine them, but Agnes Moorehead nearly steals the show as “Madge”. It’s a treat! #ClassicFilms

Again, in honour of this hero’s birthday: revisit this stunning portrayal.
@Crisopera1 @ginadalfonzo I think that in this single shot, General Stewart reached the highest level of art. This is a man fresh from the war over Germany, a man who survived casualties of 70% while leading from the front. The rawest scene of pure agony and fatherly love ever filmed.

Recently watched Twelve O’ Clock High (1949) and was greatly impressed by this war drama. Peck stars as General Savage, the aptly-named leader of a B-17 bomber unit during WW2. It’s well-acted, with insightful dialogue and timeless themes. A powerful, sobering film. #ClassicFilms

Barbara Stanwyck (TCM’s Star of the Month) was trending earlier and I’m pretty sure I’ll be smiling about it for a solid month. She was absolutely amazing and deserves ALL the love.
