saying lottie’s behavior, a result of her very real mental illness, is the same as the behavior of a character who’s willingly high on psychedelics for their entire movie is actually insensitive as hell. lottie’s mental illness doesn’t make her ditzy, careless, or dumb.

lottie’s schizophrenic hallucinations are not the same as drug induced hallucinations and it’s lowkey insensitive and weird when people compare her to characters who are constantly tripping on drugs bc they’re both “weird” and “say crazy shit”.

lottie matthews is not dumb. she’s extremely intuitive, witty, and smart. u guys just see her declining mental well-being as something comedic because she acts in ways that are “strange” and therefore u conclude that she’s dumb. having a mental illness DOESN’T make u stupid jesus.

this whole thread of lottie variants was just: characters who are constantly tripping on drugs and dumb “himbo-like” characters. like wdym lottie’s prevalent mental illness is just like the writer’s turning cat valentine dumb for comedy??????

there IS a power/privilege/authority imbalance between caitlyn and vi, that’s quite literally a huge part of the show.

not even participating in this but “authority based coercion (e.g. teacher/student, doctor/patient) are only allowed in the form of ‘roleplay’” is insane to include when like… caitlyn is canonically a cop and vi was in prison. they literally have sex in a prison cell in s2.

we are aware of how incorrectly the other characters view jackie, how she’s tainted and twisted to fit certain characters’ narratives, but we will never know the parts of her that are true because the only person that can show us them is jackie herself.

it’s so important for people to know that while, yes, we are much more AWARE of how jackie’s character is misunderstood in the show, we ALSO don’t know who jackie truly was. we will never know who jackie truly was because she’s dead and that’s the tragedy of her character.

it’s be really interesting to see it come into play next season or the following because i have a feeling some of it might still be around sitting in an account or something.

i hope they touch on travis’s home life post rescue so we can see his choices, but i especially want to know where melissa’s settlement money is. maybe she used some of it before she got with alex, but she couldn’t have splurged like some of the others without drawing suspicion.

shauna helped jeff buy his furniture store. lottie’s possibly being held until she was “well” or even used for her stay in switzerland. melissa getting a new identity and keeping it in an account somewhere? travis presumably doing the same as nat, maybe helping his mom too.
