How can playing with materials support French oral language development? K and 1 FI students loved creating and sharing stories. We were inspired by the Renardo book to try using 'voici' in our stories. Ss then documented their stories by drawing and labeling beginning sounds.

Our amazing counsellor Raina led us through a Star Quilt building act of reconciliation. The white background pieces contain the names of every residential school that existed in Canada. #TruthAndReconciliation @TsawwassenFN @deltasd37

Just a reminder that more people in BC are dying from opioid overdose & fentanyl than from covid. And almost nobody can find a family doctor. And we still need more counsellors in our schools. (Yes these things are connected.)

We brought some bees outside for #storyworkshop in the dandelion field to play with some story ideas. We collected the dandelions we used in our stories to make dandelion play dough. I wonder what stories will be found in the play dough next week?
