i find it very insidious to see these people, even as a joke, holding incredibly of-its-time outdated writing against a woman over one single line. but leon is very casually misogynistic in original re4 due to the time it was made and nobody holds it against him lmao
the concept of thinking the most kindhearted empathetic gentle and compassionate re character would be homophobic
