The only lessons from this is that all drivers who are causing these accidents must jailed and their licences withdrawn for 10 years minimum. When i saw the article in today's Herald i thought about this accident and how the recklessness of this driver almost cost the nation

the family. The now late was disabled, died outside the country. When the parents decided to repatriate him back from kwavaisunza, the tragedy happened but no one died ,only injuries. I don't know how they will heal from this trauma. Roads are in bad shape but drivers are worse.

Currently some varieties of tobacco seeds are in short supply especially if you go ikoko ku Kutsaga but farmers never experienced these challenges when ZTSA was still operating and price was low.

The other point which you raised is parastatals venturing into inputs production. They are already there but they are not serious. We have Kutsaga it's owned by the government, ZIMPHOS owned by Chemplex which is owned by IDC and IDC is wholly owned by the government.

As a rural boy from Hurungwe kumusha Mzilawempi area I can categorically say tobacco have changed lives of many farmers just like gold but there are some areas which needs improvements eg contract farming mostly merchants benefits more than the farmer.This needs to be scrutinised.
4. farmers, I urge gvt to seriously consider the following proposals:.i. Make some of the parastatals venture into agricultural inputs production(via subsidiaries).ii. To initiate dialogue between Agribank and ZFU for the purpose of making CHEAP FINANCE available to farmers.
