We're thrilled to announce that our special art issue is coming out in December, with cover art by Don Davis, and half the proceeds going to @Place2Be, a fantastic children's mental health charity!

I have a story in Issue 7 of Tree And Stone Magazine. Cute suburban sci-fi romance with a side of barbecue!

Don’t self-reject. I frequently feel imposter syndrome, so I know I need to be 25% bolder about where I submit my work than I want to be. And it has led to acceptances! #writingcommunity #amwriting

It always makes me happy when I see people walking their little old dogs in strollers.

So often I think I’m heading out for a run reasonably early, get outside, and it’s 87 degrees. At least there’s a breeze!

Though, I’m not sure the curly girl method is ideal for people who live in hot places or work out often. I tried this hair custard stuff and it dissolved into sticky goo on my forehead when I went outside. Tried restyling with more and it was like I doused my head in Aqua Net.

I’m kinda interested in the curly girl method, but I don’t have the tight curls I see online and am also not a girl. I need the wavy non-binary method. Preferably a version for people who don’t typically spend more than five minutes on their hair.

Sometimes I look at the sky and think, wow. These are the clouds real estate photographers must dream of. Or add in Photoshop.

I’m very happy with this piece (and also not so active here these days). Some eerie plant brain art, based on celosia cristata flowers and the human brainstem, cerebellum, and spinal cord.
