Every so often I get back on this F THE ALGORITHM kick where I want to go back to downloading MP3s. But I have to admit I LIKE to tell the machine to play songs similar to this song. My problem is really that I don't trust the algorithms anymore now that AI music is everywhere.

It feels appropriate when you eat a much worse punish for having a reversal blocked as opposed to getting your feet tagged for walking back. And on offense I like having to know that I can get X combo off of this hit, but if it's counter-hit I can react and do something better.

I think as a matter of gamestyle preference, I prefer fighters where you get different reward for different hits. I don't love when even your fastest jab leads to any full combo you want. I'm a long combo enjoyer, I just prefer when you have to land a big CH or Punish to get it.

Took a while but 2xko has won me over with Illaoi/Vi. I think I said this in the alpha too, but this game is the best game ever when you're winning and the worst game of all time when you're losing. More so than other fighters, IMO.

Got jealous of all the new leverless controllers with their extra buttons, managed to snag one of the @hitboxarcade Combo Extension buttons. With the power of parry on my thumb, as soon as I retrain my muscle memory it's over for all fireball spammers.

Been re-reading the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson and I almost forgot how good it is. Even if you don't want to get into the whole connected Cosmere multiverse thing, the first book stands on its own as a fantastic read.

I'd like to see a fighting game try out the Stale Moves concept from Smash, make your combo scale harder if you already did that same combo this round.

I've dumped way too much time into the early access for Hades 2, really fantastic and it's been better than H1 for months now. I do think the characters and story were better in the first game (so far, we'll see how it ends), but gameplay-wise H2 >>> H1.
