Returning to this platform for a big announcement: We decided it wasn't enough to say NO to the 6-lane design concept for the East Bank Blvd. We envisioned something to say YES to with Southern Environmental Law Center, @ThinkTN and @walkbikenash https://t.co/qmG7dJBlbQ

Community members widely oppose a 6-lane East Bank Blvd, calling for a 4-lane alternative, and with construction already underway nearby, it is urgent to expand public dialogue and consider solutions...

The Holiday Village at Kossie Gardner Sr. Park was a success. In the freezing cold on Friday and the warmer Saturday weather, people showed up for Black Santa, holiday shopping, and hot cocoa by Oye!

With all votes in, Nashville's transit plan was approved in a landslide, 65.5% to 34.5%. That's almost the inverse of 2018's transit referendum result, which failed 64% to 36%. Via @TNLookout: https://t.co/vzOdJAiBdj

The half-cent increase in sales tax to fund the transit plan will cost the avg. Nashville household only ~$6 per month ($70/year). Combined w/ the opportunity to save on personal vehicle costs, this is a small price to pay for a better, more comprehensive transportation system.

At the polls this month, Nashvillians will vote For or Against the transportation referendum. Our president Erin Hafkenschiel lays out some details of the transit plan that she knows will have an impact on the kind of Nashville that her three daughters grow up in.

Hey, nobody says you can't make commuting fun, as well as easy! In the #Netherlands, you can cycle to #Utrecht Overvecht station, drop your bike off, then ride the slide down to the platform. Multi-modal travel, Dutch-style. πŸ›πŸ§΅

I like that the goalposts have brought up pedestrianizing Broadway. If the State was willing to work with NDOT what alternative path do you like for TN-24 ? That currently goes all the way to 1st Ave on Broadway.
