'The Electric' was designed in 1885 by W. Wykes of Colmore Row for John Glew, as a furniture warehouse known as the Birmingham Pantechnicon. In 1909 the building was adapted to become Birmingham's first cinema. Its still there 115yrs later. @Glenbrookprop want it gone for flats.

Our seasonal film this year, on Sunday 1st December at 7.15pm is #TheHoldovers. Doors open at 6.15pm for hot food & refreshments. As it’s our annnual charity screening all proceeds from donations will go to two local charities for the homeless, SIFA Fireside and Let’s Feed Brum.
