We were able to catch the sunset at Horseshoe Bend near Page Arizona. Really quite beautiful views of the Colorado River in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

The desert is in full bloom. Lots of beautiful sights with the buds and the flowers on the cactus (cacti). Did you know the plural of cactus 🌵 isn’t cactuses? It’s cacti. Sounds wrong. Looks beautiful.

Morning sunrise at the ranch. Winter has certainly arrived.

Yesterday morning’s blue sky and frost on the trees. Beautiful but it means that winter is getting close and that’s a season I do not enjoy.

Another pretty sunset while out hunting. Some mule doe deer in the photo if you look close but they were not on the menu today.

The Maypole/Flowerdale School District schoolhouse. Early furrows: a story of our early pioneers in Provost, Hayter, Bodo, Alberta & surrounding districts stated “the school had 25-30 pupils in 1919. It also was the center of social activities-box socials, concerts and the like.”

Here is our run from last night at the Calgary Stampede off of barrel three. Commando, Legend, Tip and Strav  started hard, barrelled great, and ran all the way around. We just about stole the rail, but couldn’t get the job done.

These off track thoroughbreds have been buddies at my ranch for years. Both Digger and Runner became part of the team in 2014 and have been legitimate stars at the Calgary Stampede and everywhere else we raced. I love seeing them play as they age well into their teens.

A late post from last weeks trip to Zion National Park. We would have loved to spend more time but we were trying to get away from the snow. Hopefully we can go back when the weather is better and the spring colours come out. Still a beautiful area regardless of the time of year.

Such beautiful colours and wonderful weather in Arizona. Not to mention that we have about three feet of snow at home in Okotoks. I can see why people love it here.

Happy New Year from Waimea Bay Oahu,HI. This is by far, our favourite each and we are glad we have finally been able to get back here after a hiatus since 2019.

Kase definitely caught the biggest one today. It was a Bowfish. Trent had a very large Snakehead in but it broke the line when we got the net to him. We caught a bunch more of the Bluegill and Sunfish as well. We are really enjoying Florida.
