the prevailing idea among intermediate-high level players in most games (i think) is that in order to be “good” you must be one of the best. if there are more than a handful of players who can consistently outperform you then you are probably not good yet. keep grinding :3

i think this is just every game? im top 1%-ish in strive (top 50 for my character), clash royale, smash ultimate, im not “good” at any of them. fuck im probably top 1% for my mile and 5k times, and neither of those are good (5:03 and 18:54).
