1/ My new book “Postcolonial People” is out with @cambUP_History! A study of #decolonization & #migration, it looks at the history & memory of ‘retornados,’ i.e., settlers returning from Portugal’s African colonies after the 1974 Carnation Revolution.

It was fun while it lasted. Well, at least some of the time. I will leave my account as it is as a personal archive of sorts. Otherwise, you will find me where the skies are blue. Good riddance.

My timeline is a hot mess. There is all kinds of stuff, some absurd, some interesting, most of it both sensationalist and completely irrelevant to me - instead of the posts by the people I actually follow and whose work inspires me.

I am not gonna post on here anymore. My notifications alert me regularly to posts by the far-right moron who runs this platform - even if I do not follow him and have never shown any interest in his incessant stupidities.
