I am delighted to announce that I will be taking over the
@ITV
Saturday morning breakfast slot for 11 weeks over the summer. I am really excited about this, although I can't do autocue and I don't know where the cameras are - What can possibly go wrong 😏
Today is 20 years since my first ever gig at the new act night at the Bedford in Balham. I had no idea back then what a wonderful community of people I was joining. What a way to spend a couple of decades! I will be celebrating today, on stage of course. X
The eye masks in bed on
#ScaredOfTheDark
are in case there is an emergency in the middle of the night and they have to put the lights on quickly, would be very damaging to peoples eyes. Well, everybody else’s. But they still made me wear mine as well 🤣
#ScaredOfTheDark
The day is finally here! You can see me making my panel show debut on BBC1 tonight at 9:30, sat next to this bloke. I hope you all like it! Thanks
@WILTY_TV
🤗
The amount of lovely positive feedback about
#ScaredOfTheDark
has been totally overwhelming. Thanks to everybody that watched it, and to all those who said how much they enjoyed it! It was a real privilege to be part of it all. If you fancy seeing more of me, my tour dates are…
I’ve had the best day.
Just me and my daughter on the floor in the living room with cushions, blankets, pizza, chocolate, Home Alone, Richie Rich, and The Greatest Showman. What an epic day of just the two of us slobbing about the place! 🙌
If you didn’t see it, here is the BAFTA presentation I did with Lee on Sunday - Lee Mack and Chris McCausland make the funniest presenting duo 😂 | The BAFTAS 2022 - BBC - YouTube
My telly series starts tonight straight after the football! Wonders of the World I Can’t See, 10pm on
@Channel4
- First off, I am in Athens with the comedy legend that is
@HarryHill
🙌
If you don’t want to watch a whole 2 glorious hours of me on the telly tonight, then stay away from
@Channel4
- I will be on
@TheLastLeg
at 10pm, followed imediately by an hour of stand-up from my tour finale at the Shepherds Bush Empire in May!
I see there is a new Netflix special from Ali Wong. I thought her first two were bloody brilliant. I have a hunch this one might also be very very good.
I would like to apologise to all Southampton fans for my abysmal debut performance in goal this evening. They promised me there would be a bell in the ball.
Just to give you a heads up… I created a brand-new comedy panel show with
@BBCStudios
for Radio 4 which will be on this Thursday at 6:30. It’s called “You heard it here first” - I am incredibly chuffed with how it turned out, it would be lovely if you listen to it! 🤗
Jeff Stelling, the man who achieved the seemingly impossible… He made watching other people watching football exciting and fun. This sounds like he has died, he hasn’t, he has just announced he’s leaving Sky after 30 years. “Remarkable Jeff!”
Does anything make the Tories look even more of a shambles, than all of them wanting to be the next leader. - And it still looks like the options are either inappropriately rich, unbelievably hideous, or never bloody heard of them.
Today this 45-year-old bloke is as giddy as a teenager. First concert since before the pandemic. All the way from Hollywood… Gguns N’ fucking Roses 🤣🤘🏻
Two full hours of me on
@Channel4
tomorrow night, because straight after me on this, it’s an hour of my stand-up from my tour finale at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in May!
I will be on Have I Got News for You on November 29th. It’s listed online and everything. They can’t change their mind now, can they? Stick it in your diaries! Jesus, I’ve got newspapers to read 🤯

✨Starring Sandi, Alan,

,
@chrismccausland
and Lou Sanders!
This week I get to do one of those things that doesn’t feel quite real. I get to sit in dictionary Corner on proper grown-up adult countdown - and bring the tone down a bit of course. 🤯
Absolutely LOVED seeing the hilarious
@chrismccausland
tonight however how is it that it’s me and mum who have managed to have our eyes closed and look in the wrong bloody direction in the photo!! 😂🫣✌🏼😆
Banish those back-to-work blues with the news that Would I Lie To You? is back for a brand new run this Friday, 7th Jan at 8:30pm,
@BBC1
. TELL EVERYONE AND TELL THEM OFTEN!
I have taken the brave decision to relinquish myself of my lifetime collection of various leads and cables. No doubt tomorrow I will find myself desperately needing a double female phono to single male phono adapter for the first time in 20 years.
Well that is the end of the series of my
@BBCRadio4
comedy panel show “You heard it here first” - All of the episodes are now available on
@BBCSounds
. Give it a listen! X
My national tour kicks off soon with in excess of 100 dates!… Tickets are on sale now! 🎫🎫🎫 over 100 dates on the road, probably means over 100 pizzas for dinner 😋 Come and see me live, while I am alive 🤞 all dates here…

Tomorrow I head off to film the final episode for series one of my travel show, and it's a biggy! I can't say where, but it rhymes with Viagra Balls. 😏
You can catch me on three things this evening, which feels weird as I haven't left the house in 10 days. 🔉 Recorded last night, The News Quiz is on R4 at 6:30! 📺 Brand-new Would I Lie to You? is on BBC One at 8:30! 📺 Me hosting Live at the Apollo is then on BBC Two at 9:45.
Thanks
@ComediansFpl
- I didn’t even know this was a thing that existed. The only problem is, I now have to wait a whole week before I can open the bloody thing. Jon, Matt… It was a pleasure to beat you both! 🤤
Filming Have I Got News for You tonight. How do you make Northern Ireland trade protocols funny? 🤔 Please be advised that any funny responses may be used on TV.
Trying to eat in at a
@McDonaldsUK
is a terrible experience since they started doing the home deliveries. Takes absolutely ages to get served now every time.
A little TV heads up… I will be on The Big Breakfast this coming Saturday with a lot of people much cooler than me, but I will try to hold my own. It will be on
@Channel4
at 10am 📺
Worked with
@SamRyderMusic
for the telly today. Was shocked to discover just how hairy he is. In my head he was a lovely clean cut chappy up until this morning. 😲
Well it’s the 1st of March, almost spring, and today I film one of my favourite comedy panel shows – and it will be the Christmas special 🤣 Ho! Ho! Ho! 🎅🏻
Well I’m not sure if this will ever happen again, but at the moment I have 10 different shows that I have already filmed that have not been on the telly yet… You’ll be bloody sick of me by Christmas if you’re not already.
With two episodes under our belt already, we continue filming on my Channel 4 travel show tomorrow. Going to get the next two episodes filmed pretty much back to back over the next couple of weeks. It’s all gone great so far, and I haven’t died in a plane crash, yet. 🤞
I love Scotland, but the joke was: "Let's hope we don't get a Scottish variant of covid, because no doubt we'll never hear the end of it until it's recognised as it's own independent virus. It will just bore us all to death slowly over five years." - Boom!!
@chrismccausland
Always thought of RP as being such a cruel condition but you are very open and humourous about your sight loss - well it seems that way on here and on TV. Maybe it’s a bit of the scouse humour aswell 😂😂
Tonight is episode 3 of my show - Wonders of the World I Can’t See, and I am off to Jordan with the ultracool and brilliant bloke that is
@GuzKhanOfficial
– 10pm on
@Channel4
#C4WOW
Well last night was my first TV panel show filming with a full audience since November 2019, and what a joy it was! Everything since then has either had no studio audience or a teeny weenie one. I feel so much funnier when there are people there to laugh at me 🤣
Well Richard Herring finally got around to inviting me onto his podcast. I was annoyed it took him so long, but I tried not to let it show. You can listen to it here…
A cracking RHLSTP with

I used to do stand-up comedy. But these days I just tour around the place showing people my extensive collection of old vases. It’s a five hour show. Hope you like it.
I’ve just had the most hectic three working months of my life 😮💨 but the tour starts tonight! Looking forward to slowing life down a little and enjoying doing some shows. Tonight, a sold out Hereford courtyard theatre! 🤗
Chris McCausland's Radio 4 panel show You Heard It Here First is returning for an expanded second series. He's revealed that he's hopeful of making Series 2 of his Channel 4 travel series, Wonders Of The World I Can't See, too:
Liz Truss tries to do that slow talking broken sentence politician speech pattern thing, but she just sounds medicated, or like she’s worked on a psych ward for too long.
Just on my way to the Royal Albert Hall for my tech rehearsal for tomorrow’s
@RoyalVariety
filming. I feel nervous in my stomach already and I don’t really have to do anything today. Maybe i’m nervous because I might bump into some fella called Sir Rod Stewart while I’m there 🤣
Well we completed leg 1 of the tour last night, 42 shows done - and what a joy it was 🙌🏻 We start again in September with another eighty odd all over the place. Tickets are here
This evening you can see me answering questions in the scary chair on my all time favourite band
@PearlJam
on Celebrity Mastermind, BBC One at 6:30.
I am on stage in 15 minutes, but remember that the penultimate and truly shocking

is on at 9pm
