Cool stuff at Apple, formerly @wirecutter, @anandtech, and more. Please don't ask me to review things anymore. Runner, Husband, Dad. https://t.co/VubFCM8xdz

I took the past month off from here, but now that Tweetbot is dead I see no reason to ever come back, and will stay over at Mastadon.

I think I'm going to lock this app on my phone for a couple weeks, close the tab on my browsers, and see how it goes. Friends know how to reach me, but it's going to hell.

I really wish this website hadn't been bought by the world's biggest baby.

Bari misses being at The NY Times, where policy allowed her to drag her coworkers on Twitter because she knew they weren’t allowed to respond to her since they weren’t in Opinion.

Also, Weiss says that Twitter employees prevented "disfavored tweets from trending." But how is this any different from what Musk is doing, given that he's said that "negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted."

I know Frontier Air is bad, but is it "Spend $500 vs $180 for a 75 minute flight where I don't need more than a personal item" bad?

Finally watched and finished The Bear this week. The show was great but the soundtrack was truly fantastic. The @Wilco cuts made Episode 7 feel incredibly frenetic and it ended with my favorite Radiohead song of all time.

Wasn't there supposed to be a council to approve unbanning? But anyway, I hope he refuses to come back and it explodes into a pissing match as the site burns. Which narcissist cares only about themselves most?

I think my favorite Twitter memory is the time that @SeamusBellamy had to do breathalyzer testing at Wirecutter on a Friday night and live-tweeted through it. I don't know if those tweets still exist, though.

But remember four weeks ago when we were all concerned about an approval council being setup as pretense for Trump and others to come back and that Twitter would slowly wither and die? Did we ever get that wrong.

I'm at @chrisheinonen@mstdn.social and I'll fill out the rest of my profile eventually, and I'll start actually using it soon if Twitter dies.

If this is the end, I've very much enjoyed my time on Twitter. My life is very different today than it would be if it hadn't existed, and I think for the better overall. Mostly I'll miss the ability to find people to talk about whatever I'm interested in, all the time.

Having a second checkmark for people that actually need to be verified means that the $8 a month checkmark just says you're paying $8 to feel important, right? I'm sure my checkmark will go away, I couldn't care less, no way I'm paying $8 to look like a sucker.

2-1 on Day 2 with a pool that was amazingly bad and I'm surprised I even pulled that out.

Ugh, I need to change the picture mode on this TV in this car dealer waiting room so badly. Can't deal with vivid.
