What ai tools are you using for 1) UI design on top of a current design system 2) making a design system from existing designs. Anything producing good results?

I would love to be able to publish a pre-adjusted instance of a component for our designers without this layering that causes responsiveness problems.

π‘Feature idea for @figma design system libraries Component Templates Often I want to provide a component with predefined properties or overrides or interactions added. The only way to do that now is making a component of a component which is super clunky.

Figma Make, you don't know me very well do you...

This has been my biggest concern with using Make thus far. Feels really good to see they are working towards a system-integrated workflow and seem to understand how important that is.
New in Figma Make: Bring styling context from an existing library into Make and specify additional rules to follow to keep things looking consistent

This feels AI generated to me. From the inconsistent βnewβ badges, to the icons style and sizesβ¦ the whole thing just feels off and Iβm not buying this as anything that would actually see the light of day.

I'm not trying to be a downer here, but did anyone else get the sense that waaaay more of the talks at #Config2025 were not-so-subtle sales pitches for the speaker's company/products? I'm sure there's always a level of this but it felt way more noticeable this year π€·ββοΈ

Excited to try out Grid in @figma autolayout ... but pretty surprised that I can't apply a variable to the gaps here like I can in other types of autolayout...

Not there in the flesh this year but excited none the less. Good luck to all the presenters today and tomorrow #config25

Good luck on the search, Josh! And a great hire for anyone looking π
After taking the past 6 months to hit reset after leaving Figma, I'm now starting to look for my next role. I'm particularly interested in community roles within the dev or design space (think product communities), but also open to other opportunities. If you know of anything,

Hey @figma folks, I think I found a bug with the aspect ratio lock. Seems that when I change the color variable after altering the width variable some really funky things happen. Note: when I change the color first, then size it doesn't do this.
