NBA 2K26 went from the best start in years, no meta, real creativity, pure skill, to being slowed down, dumbed down, and flooded with cheaters in like 3 weeks. They finally had a fun game, and instead of letting it breathe, they patched the soul out of it. It didn’t fall off

Gotta give 2K their props. They’ve been on it this year. Multiple fixes within 24 hours to keep the game balanced and alive. Major W 👏 especially with a community that can’t agree on anything 😭

The issue isn’t that fades got patched. The issue is that 2K patched fades while: – Making dribbling slower – Killing the defensive skill gap – Slowing the entire game speed – Buffing rhythm shooting That’s the problem.

If you’re still defending rhythm shooting, you are everything wrong with the 2K community. This mechanic is killing the game. It destroys competitive balance and makes timing completely meaningless.

Everyone thinks patching contests on 7’4 builds will help the game, but it won’t. It’ll just make life even harder for smaller guards while breaking the balance as a whole. Fixing one “problem” creates a ripple effect that ruins everything.

Again, be perspicacious when you think about this. How many randoms have fried you with the button? How many randoms have dropped you off greening tempo only? Just something to think about.

If rhythm shooting was removed, nearly every major issue in the game would vanish. You wouldn’t hear complaints about 7’4 builds, because they’d actually miss shots. You wouldn’t hear complaints about contests, because people wouldn’t green half bars. Do you understand?
