Last week we filmed outdoors with UGA. We take pride in the work we put into a film for our partners. That hard work sometimes consists of working around different lighting to get the best image possible. Our team is always prepared and ready to take on any shoot!

In 2020, the world paused and left us uncertain of what was next for our company. We reflected on our values and One Dumb Video was our response to the pandemic. We ended up paying and forming a relationship with creatives all around the world.

Last week was a reflection of the hard work our team puts into our company as we began filming with Brookwood in Brookshire, Texas. This documentary is our biggest project of the year so far and will premiere in February 2022.

Aflac tasked us with telling the story of eight families on their journey with pediatric cancer. Personal relationships were formed in the many months of filming and it reflected the true embodiment of Chispa House. The end resulted in one of our most beloved projects to date.

We partnered with Aflac to walk with families as they share the moments that carry them through the hardship of cancer. This Wednesday, on episode 9 of The Chispa Doc, we’ll share our personal experiences of the significance this project has had on our company. Stay tuned!

Our ability to find unique individuals and tell their stories allowed us to form new relationships with brand partners. Our road trip out west not only formed these relations, but left us with some of our best work that we reflect on every day.

Been writing every Monday and slowly building my list. It’s no hockey stick but I’m proud of it. https://t.co/CfvdGfbFiE

We’ve learned that preparation = confidence. When we collectively know our goals, we are able to film at the highest level & have fun while doing it. Preparation also means allowing for creative freedom and spontaneous ideas that progress the story & create inspiring scenes.

Giving back to our local community is a priority for our crew & there was no better partner than local brewery, Creature Comforts, to share this passion. So we took cameras into our own backyard & met community members who face hardships that are present in parts of our hometown

The most important part of any film: the story. It keeps production crews focused, viewers engaged, and provides meaning to any film. We’ve found having meaningful conversations that dive into people’s purpose, values and real personality helps uncover the spark within them.

Team Nelson has been one of our first purpose-driven projects & their story has been one of our best. Due to a surprise hurricane, we flew to Africa with only one camera and our iPhones. We learned when there is an inspiring story, the best equipment is in your back pocket.

It takes courage to jump into the creative industry. You may question your skills, your style & your level of expertise. One of the newest Chispa House team members, Jackson Smith, knows that even experts have to start at the beginning. Link is in our bio!

We took a leap of spontaneity and created a reason to take a road trip. The skills we learned during Way Out: West and the films produced allowed us to prove ourselves in this industry. We began to value the idea of being busy & we never stopped having fun while doing it.

Exactly two years ago, we were scaling walls with the Powers family. Today, we keep climbing the mountain to do great things. - Our mentality this past year seems almost parallel to that of “Family Powers” and Phil Powers' family inspired our team in many ways!

We take pride in the work we put into a film for our partners. Our process highlights the powerful connections between members of a company, humanizing business for all stakeholders. You deserve to showcase what fuels your mission & we love bringing that to life through film.
