All ready for our visitors this weekend from Oswestry School - beds made by School's housekeeping staff! Have heard our visitors were "pleasantly surprised with the bunkhouse-love the sitting room and painted view in one of the bunkrooms". "Window" was painted by Jim Heath.

Our visitors this Easter have had an amazing day canoeing/kayaking/paddling the Llangollen Canal including a trip over the Pontycyllte Aquaduct. The group was due to stay Easter 2020 then 2021 but covid arrived! "The weather has been waiting for us. Absolutely stunning!"

A HUGE thank you to our visitors this weekend-Southend Canoe Club - who did a fantastic job clearing our carpark of all the snow. Photos were taken late Sunday afternoon so the piles had obviously been even higher on Saturday! Thanks to Meurig for the loan of the shovel !

A lovely sunny winter's day here in Chirk today - albeit a bit chilly - after a heavy fall of snow - followed by another brilliant sunset this evening.

Well done to all those involved at Llangollen Rotary and Llangollen & District Young Farmers for the fantastic illuminated tractor run this evening. It was great to see.

Last weekend 1st Ruabon Brownies had a "SPOOKTACULAR Sleepover". We hope there weren't too many "disturbances" during the night! We look forward to having the girls stay again in 2023.

Last weekend we welcomed, for the first time, Laburnum Boat Club from London. The group had a great time paddling on the River Dee in Chester and Llangollen and also paddling over Pontycysllte Aqueduct. For some of the group it was their very first time in North Wales.

A great place to have a party or celebration of any kind. Bank Holiday Monday saw a local family celebrating the end of Ramadan. Family had come from near and far - some had even come from Turkey. The family tell us they had an "absolutely wonderful day in a great facility".

224th Birmingham Brownies+leaders travelled home today after 4 great days here in Chirk. They visited the Leisure Centre, the Castle and walked across the Aqueduct and through the tunnel. Plus they did loads of craft activities. Some even experienced a night "under canvas".

Saturday 24 Brownies + leaders arrived by train from the Midlands to stay 4 nights - 2 years later than planned. After girls in bed (not sure if asleep!) leaders start their own evening activity - sewing "camp badges" on "camp blankets" - a job they apparently dont do very often!
