tetsuo the iron man takes inspo from tetsuo’s mutation in akira, chronicle takes the whole character arc of tetsuo and makes a sort of home made mockumentary and this are just examples from the top of my head, people just cant see inspiration unless is right in their face lol

Akira is an intersting case of a movie being referenced for decades based purely on aesthetics and not the contents of the work itself.

I'm gonna go on a whim and say that Deku ending up Quirkless is a good ending BUT the way Hori handled the theme of being a hero without a quirk was super sloppy at the end given how he left MHA's society the same and essentially fixed nothing :/ Deku being a quirkless hero was+
