Big shout out to the folks at Denmark College School of Barbering, 214 S. Wabash in Chicago. Since 2019, they've partnered with the SSC to provide vouchers our participants can use to get haircuts. We are so thankful for them and the services they provide! #denmarkcollege

The Share Shop has a new partnership with Mount Sinai Hospital Resale Shop, who will be selling donations the SSC can’t use. Proceeds will benefit patients at the hospital who cannot afford their medical expenses. Thanks to all—now your gifts will go even further to help others!

On a cold day like today, we are looking back and planning ahead for the oldest aspect of our Urban Farm: Community Garden plots. Last year 18 neighbors grew their own food, created bonds, and spent time in our unique green space. #chicagolightsurbanfarm #somedayspringwillcome

There’s less happening outside at the Urban Farm this time of year, but a lot happening inside. Farm staff are building infrastructure (new hoophouse doors) and planning programs and how to grow thousands of pounds of food (many boxes of seeds). #chicagolightsurbanfarm #renewal
