my newest obsession btw is abandoned cars in well-traversed shopping area parking lots in japan that the lot owners don't remove (for reasons whatever)… which therefore are left there for years for random kids to vandalize, and then over time become sacred pilgrimage sites

oh, also i ended up being one of the very last drivers to pass thru the road one last time… well past its 8PM closure haha. it’ll all be uploaded to youtube when i finally edit it all on post. hopefully all the japanese road infrastructure otaku will enjoy it when it’s finished.

i hella got it nailed: almost nonstop insta360 shot of the entire drive, engine audio & rev UI, and map. i am a total civil engineering & road infrastructure otaku, so i could not pass up the grand opportunity to do a cool archive of a historic route in its last day in operation.

today was the last day for Tokyo Kousoku Douro (KK Route) & Yaesu Route — the former being Japan’s oldest expressway post-WWII. i finished doing 360 chase POV video shots of driving thru (almost) every single junction, entrance/exit, & so-called “secret” locations tucked within.
