Have you ever wanted to get to know a famous person because you thought βtheyβd be a great friendβ. Chris Martin (Coldplay) is that for me. He seems so fun and encouraging. He exudes kindness! π₯° We need more like him.

100% agreeβ¦AND the same is true about automaticity in foundational writing skills! Students are cognitively free to compose writing pieces when they arenβt having to think about individual letter formation.

New study on the value of small group strategy instruction for comp (inference): 1. Identify a skill 2. Plan a series of strategies that offer "how to"s 3. Instruct and guide practice in a small group, provide feedback as students work
We examined the effects of an intervention we developed to improve inferential reading comprehension for struggling readers in grades 6-8. We are currently studying it in a larger RCT.

Definitely at big deal!
This is kind of a big deal. The cut score determines which kids could be held back, are identified for summer reading camp and have to take the test a second time. #aledchat
