Stopped by the @WashMystics x @318Foundation’s inaugural Champions Academy, a weeklong free basketball & leadership immersion program for 24 HS girls at GWU. These investments are so important. Glad @Alanabeard20 brought this program here to DC!

If you’re going to write a story about DC and public safety, don’t forget the part about how the arrangement was designed as a pseudo “partnership.” . There are significant parts of the system the local government does not control or have oversight.
