It’s a truly cynical new method of ad delivery. Wait until someone stops scrolling, meaning their attention is truly focused on the screen, then swap out what they’re looking at with an ad.
On top of it all, Twitter iOS seems to have introduced a new method of loading ads where they just suddenly appear out of thin air in your timeline, replacing the tweet you’re reading (and pushing it down a slot). Super fucking annoying.
