PS: Did you know that the DanTsu panel was drawn right after the NaruSaku one was drawn by LadyGT back in the day? 🤭 Just a bit of fandom trivia if you wanted to know, that's all.

The essence of Naruto's gesture connects to that of Tsunade's in my language, especially given how Dan & Tsunade parallel Naruto & Sakura, the forehead elements & dreams being present in both ships & Kishimoto once again showing how planned NaruSaku was from the very beginning.

Tsunade's nuance, in the sense that the "of" preposition, becomes actually "on" & thus, he offers his life as a way to vouch for the promise. In essence, of course, it's still the same thing. It's just that the nuance is slightly changed and I find it incredibly beautiful that+

But moreso, his own word which he promises to keep all his life. It's his promise *of* a lifetime. In English, his "of a lifetime", has more the nuance of measurement, for how long he intends to keep that word of his. In Romanian, however, the sense/nuance is very similar to+

Case, it's very clear: she uses her own life as a wager/bet. Bets ON her life. That's the transactional part of it. In English, in Naruto's case, however, that nuance is a bit different. In Naruto's case, in the promise, the transactional part doesn't seem to be his own life+

Well, today, when adapting Naruto's promise of a lifetime to Sakura in my own language, in terms of translating it, I giggled at its functional nuance and sense. Why? Because in essence, it's very close actually to Tsunade's own bet. What do I mean by that? Well, in Tsunade's+

In the sense that a word can functionally fit multiple senses, depending on other elements around it like prepositions or whatever else connecting elements, I'm not gonna go too deep into that right now, cuz that's not the point. But what is the point of this post you wonder?+

A funny little detail. In essence, Romanian & Japanese, although using different ways of writing (one uses letters & the other one symbols) to communicate the message, in terms of how they both function, they're very similar: both use nuance a lot. It is also multi nuanced+

🧵Smoll thread about language, nuance, Naruto, NaruSaku and @kaikasaisei. 🇷🇴So, as you guys know, I'm currently typesetting my own language, Romanian, on my Kaika chapters. I got to the part where Sakura remembers Naruto's promise of a lifetime and it made me observe+

What is happening to Twitter? From posts with tens of thousands of views in the past, suddenly there’s only thousands? Who’s playing with the algorithm and why?

Y’all, help report this. I have them blocked because they were also stealing arts of mine with NaruSaku without crediting them. The fact that they steal from others & bring NaruSaku into this is NOT okay. This isn’t the kind of fandom etiquette we support.
