based on what happened in South Africa, and this dashboard shows just how much mitigation measures -like masking, vaccine mandates -- do work.

Another interesting data point we've seen -- in the Delta wave it's the 5-17 and 18-29 year old age groups bump up the most in cases. I'm sure that has to do with vaccinations being much higher in older age groups, and children being susceptible to Delta.

One measure that's particularly interesting is a vaccine mandate that's expanded to 5-11 year olds in New Orleans. The city has one of the highest vax rates in the country. Could we see lower cases there too as
#omicron
spreads?

And yet the LDH messaging is devoid of the mention of masking for how many days? And no mention of the type of masks or when to wear them ? 47 days ??
