Fiscal year ended 6/30. 5 years ago we were up for closure when I took the GM/Supt role. Now, for the 4th year in a row we posted a profit, 3rd year in a row of six figure profits, and the most rounds we've ever done. Proud of the team at our muni, Heritage Oaks GC, VA. #kaizen.

Noting the day and time, July 1st 2025 at 10:33 a.m. Put cart rules into effect today, keep the carts out of the fairways as we got a good bit of rain last night, but avoided cart path only. Almost 3 hours into my day, not a single cart in a fairway. There is hope. .

Tee transition began two years ago, from bent grass to seeded Bermuda grass (combo of Yukon, Monaco and Pyramid II). Worth it now! We fought the bent all summer long and never had much success, tees built with a 3" sand cap over a clay base. Perfect for bernudagrass. #kaizen

#NoNin2025 update. Little bit of a larger slicing tine on the PlanetAir today. 1/4" width vs the traditional 1/8" tine. Big heat in VA this week so we will see how they do. Fungicides, wetting agent, black strap molasses + growth regulators out behind it.
