@Vintagegrl22 @AfricanArchives Thanks for this. It’s a real photo: Steve Schapiro shot it in Durham, NC, second week of January, 1963, in black and white. JB was sharp but also, esp before the $$ arrived from The Fire Next Time, he was only tangentially interested in fashion himself. Style for days though!!
