The bamco of the past had such little faith in selling their own flagship titles outside of Japan that they actively pushed away hires who believed in those properties because “global audiences only want games like dark souls”, so I had given up hope for kaigaiPs…

I keep thinking about how I as a young imas fan interviewed to work for bamco right after graduating college. I told the interviewer how much I loved their games including imas and the interviewer scoffed at me and told me they didn’t want candidates interested in those titles

Did the global success of umamusume finally get someone at bamco to wake up and pay attention to overseas audiences….

We got EN imas presence (shirt collab) at AX last year, all music available on global streaming platforms, an officially promoted concert at acen, and now an official idolmaster en social media account?? After over 20 years of neglect are overseas producers finally noticed? 🥹
