You need to differentiate between imagination and history. The process of raising the Indian Legion in Europe didn’t start before 1942. Netaji started his operations in SE Asia around June 1943. Savarkar started his recruitment campaign before that for entirely different reasons.

Some people also believe that the first man to land on moon was inspired by Savarkar. Subhas Bose himself was vocal against caste/community barriers and what he did with the INA had nothing to do with Savarkar. Savarkar was a great man, don’t belittle him by these kind of.
Sahbhojan at it's militant best. INA soldiers having their meal from the same kitchen, forgetting all caste barriers and forging together the sole identity of Free Hindustanis and warriors. No doubt, Savarkar's idea of reforms reverberated everywhere.

@chandrachurg @anujdhar Chandrachur ji, I agree with your criticism partially, not completely. I don't agree that Dr Hedgewar's biography needs references without which it has no value. Palkar is the authentic biographer. He has given many references and he had lived through those times. Most of old.
