Rani Lakshmibai was born in Varanasi on this day in 1828 🙏. Seen here is the cover of a 1940s booklet on a play about her written by P. N. Oak. Today mostly derided for his Tejo Mahalaya theory, Oak was a freedom fighter. He served at the headquarters of the INA in Singapore.
