The IAS mourns the passing of Prof. Alan Myers (@PennEngineers) a legend in Adsorption, and the 1st President of #IAS. He formulated the Ideal Adsorbed Solution Theory (#IAST) along with Prof. Prausnitz. Even after 50 years, #IAST remains a cornerstone of mixture thermodynamics.
