This is it for me. 🏳️ I can no longer stay on this platform. I’ll check in from time to time as I transition to blue*sky, but end of November, I’m gone. I’ll miss those of you who aren’t over there but I just can’t support this platform anymore, given The Thing. ✌️

There’s an educator in our neighbourhood who loves Halloween, so much so that her house is known as “the Halloween house.” I can’t stress enough how much this woman gives away. Kids invited in, 1 item/basket. At least 30 baskets. This year’s haul included stuffies and Lego!

Our neighbourhood is the best at Halloween. Lots of mature trees so tons of leaves around, an enclosed little haven, and a tailgate party to boot where some of us (whose kids are now too old to have parentals tag along) tailgate, serving up hot dogs, meatballs, and chilli.

CBC's Kerry Campbell reporting Irving-affiliated corporations own 12K acres of land in PEI. The Lands Protection Act sets a limit if corporate ownership to around 3K acres, (with some exceptions for leasing, non-arable land).

Squeee! My oldest childhood friend is in Ottawa the same time I am (well, technically I’m 45min away), so tomorrow I’m hitching* a ride in at 6am to see her! So excited. We live in diff provinces now but are soul-connected. *not actually hitch hiking; tagging along w. a commuter

Sigh. Just did that awkward thing where airport baggage person wished me a good flight and I auto-replied, “you too.” THEN, for extra embarrassment, I explained my error: “oh, you’re not flying! Just…have a good day.” Clearly, I can never return here now…
