analogs never work b/c history does not repeat itself (but it can rhyme) there were folks doing the same exact thing comparing 2022 and 2008...
@cfromhertz @datatrek has the best read on this year. 2025 actually tracks "1000 Days Post 1995 vs 2023 -Present" remarkably well from a technical perspective. Not sure how closely the macro lined up, though. This chart was updated around 10/10/25 & we are at Day 734 as of now.

question - why does everyone want to try and compare this year to the '99-'00 ? It is clearly not, so it's easy to disprove no one seems to be comparing this year to '21 ? why? I am not saying that that this is '21 either , but there are many more similarities than '99-'00
