Yesterday was the perfect day for a Regional Road trip! Here’s a look at the numbers: *357 miles traveled *28 run sheets delivered *75 first aid flip charts distributed *480 doses of #naloxone delivered *1 public outreach event supported *1 County Fire/EMS meeting attended #EMS

Last week we headed out to Quarry Park in #Stearns County to introduce some kids to EMS! They practiced using an AED, learned about tourniquets, and found out what happens when you have a concussion. We think that one day, these kids will make pretty great #EMS providers. #cmems

Last night the Region attended the annual @Morrison_County #EMS Recognition event. Whether you are celebrating 1 year of service or have devoted 40+ years to your community, we can’t thank you enough for your dedication and service! #gratitude #firstresponder

This morning YOUR Central Region EMS-JPB meets (in person) at 10:00 @ the #StearnsCountyServiceCenter. @centralMNems coordinates EMS activities with Law Enforcement, Fire, First Responders, and much, much more. Yep, it’s true, #EMSRocks! #StaySafe #KeepSmilin. 😀🚔🚒🚑🇺🇸

Last night #SaukCentre, awarded stork pins to the #EMS crew and #police officer who helped with the field deliver of a baby boy in February. It’s the first recorded EMS delivery for this ambulance service. You never know when that #OB training will come in handy. #congrats

Congrats to this group of students who finished their #EMT psychomotor test earlier this month! In the past 2 years, CMEMS has sponsored over 50 responders to take an EMT class. It may be a drop in the bucket, but it’s one way we can support our EMS system.

In addition to the wonderful spring-like weather, we are thankful for our partnership with the @centracare_mn Community Health Improvement Team. We supply the #naloxone and they get it to folks who need it. We couldn’t do it without them!

It might be chilly outside, but that didn’t stop us from getting out & about today. From #ToddCounty to #Isle we delivered #narcan and provided some #AED training. #EMS

Today’s travels will take us to agencies in #Morrison and #MilleLacs counties to deliver some #naloxone. It’s always nice to get out and ensure that our first responders have the tools they need.

Each day, agencies across our region are ready to respond to emergencies when their neighbors are in need. Thank you for being helping to keep our areas safe and healthy. It’s not Minnesota nice, it’s the #powerofrural communities.

It’s #NationalFirstRespondersDay! Fire and police departments are often thought but, did you know that the Central Region has 29 First Responder Teams? Located mostly in #Morrison, #Cass, and #CrowWing counties, these volunteers are ready to help, even in our most rural areas.

Prescription Drug #TakeBackDay is Oct 29. Spend a few minutes cleaning out your medicine cabinet. Gather up the unneeded or expired medications and take them to a collection site. Prevent unused prescription drugs ending up in the wrong hands. #SafeDisposal #OpioidCrisis

Looking for pediatric education? Midwest #EMSC is hosting their virtual Pediatric Champion Symposium again this year. This event brings the pediatric experts to your base (or living room, or wherever you virtually attend)! #ems
