Celeborn is not a racist. The conflict bwetween him or the sindar elves and the dwarves is due to distrust and long held grudge. Both groups have an intense dislike towards each other. They have bad blood due to bloody history. Not because one considers the other to be inferior.

People never call Thranduil or Legolas βracistβ for hating dwarves, but the moment itβs Celeborn suddenly itβs a crime. His grudge came from trauma, not arrogance. He even showed Gimli kindness after Moria. But sure, letβs hate him for what others get praised for.
