Wow. We tried @TMobileHelp internet. Free for two weeks. Day 25 internet goes out and tmobile says they'll have an update when it will be back in 4 DAYS. We both work from home so scrambled to get new ISP. Now tmobile us charging is for the month. Not budging--wont probate it.

If we have a 4-point Likert scale question that didn't allow fence sitters (even though there is a natural neutral), how do we re-code it with neutral centered on zero this way: -2, -1, 0 (no data), 1 ,2 or this way: -1.5, -.5, .5, 1.5

A lot of reforms in psych science in the last decade have focused on improving statistical practices (and that's great). But, as the many of us who have re-analyzed a lot of data can tell you: statistics really cannot help you much when your measures are problematic or invalid.

Does essentialism lead to prejudice? @PeretzLange finds it depends on our underlying causal beliefs. Essentialism fosters prejudice when it leads us to ignore structural causes of inequality but can mitigate prejudice when it leads us to question behavioral explanations. #spp2023
