No-one captures the intensity of an unfurling disaster like Paul Greengrass. #TheLostBus was gripping stuff, McConaughey and Ferrera are both great. Don’t think it’s in cinemas for long, so catch it on the big screen if you can!

Really enjoyed #BloodBrothersBaraNaga on Netflix - slickly directed, great fights, and a strong emotional core driving it all. Syafiq Kyle makes a great protagonist too. Strong Dom/Brian vibes with him and Ghaz.

Rewatched #SupermanReturns - that plane rescue remains unmatched. The way your heart is racing as Clark leaves the bar and the fighter jets call in a bogey… neither of the last two movies have come close. Daily Planet scenes all great too.

Also, a big part of that characters appeal for me is the Clark/Superman dynamic, which is practically non-existent here. And I really didn’t care for the ‘hypno-glasses’ idea.

Just seen #Superman - I didn’t dislike it. Corenswet & Hoult both good. A big issue for me is he spends most of the movie on the back-foot, and the big moments later are only made possible by the aid of others - all of which just dilutes his impact, especially in a first movie.
