My parents sent me to a small community class lead by a local elder in the town I grew up in. She taught us to make drums. From skinning the deer, to tanning the hide, to stretching it over the forms. And to painting. I did these when I was 12. I gave them to my grandmothers.

We all grew up with warrior cats and accepted when a “paw” became a warrior their name changed, warrior name to leader etc. that’s normal and acceptable to readers and the characters, nobody “forgot” and called them their old name.
