but that's not the same thing as being able to pull yuuji back, and that's where megumi comes in. megumi is special to yuuji; they save each other. that's what jjk 266 was about. so i'm certain we'll get to see megumi be involved in some way in yuuji's resolution in modulo.

it's why gege had nobara show up early in modulo instead, to show us thru her how yuuji is currently doing (upset about his immortality while seeing his friends age and pass). like with the eso and kechizu arc in the past, nobara's always been the one to really understand him.

if you consider all that, it's not surprsing we haven't seen megumi. following gege's past logic, for megumi to play a role in ultimately pulling yuuji out of his mindset/giving yuuji his resolution, megumi has to be away now so that yuuji's current condition can be justified

there's no reason to be skirting around all mentions of megumi otherwise. and this actually makes sense in the context of gege's writing bc he has a history of shelving characters for big moments (ie. nobara) and/or to let plot situations develop (gojo prison realm)

idk if megumi's alive or not, but just narratively, i think it's becoming increasingly clear that gege plans for megumi to be a part of yuuji's resolution in modulo (now whether that's showing up in a critical moment, showing up in an 'airport' scene, who knows)

tbh im personally very skeptical about the ability to adapt rtk well bc it's probably a small production and i doubt they have the budget and resources to accurately pull off the rich upper circle vibes + get actors/VA with good cantonese which actually matters for this novel

‼️‼️ An anouncement on weibo that Reply to Keats is getting adapted into a c-drama 😬 Set to begin filming May of this year, and filming should be 60 days. No actors announced yet. It seems pretty legit atp. I will update if there's more info.
