Submitted my PhD Thesis on Friday! It has been an intense, but fulfilling 4 years and 4 pages of acknowledgements is not enough to cover all of the wonderful people I have met. It was also a great to have my lead supervisor @JudithJesch watch me hit the button in Iceland! #phd

Went to Rottenburg am Neckar yesterday and saw some Roman ruins including the oldest Roman latrine this side of the Alps! Parts of Roman town Summlocenna were uncovered when a new parking lot was being built! Also wandered around the town and stopped in a few churches!

It was a pleasure to work with Aquilia, a British children’s magazine, on their December #Vikings issue! The issue is a mix of facts and fun that will hopefully inspire the next generation of Vikingologists! Plus the spreads by different illustrators are simply gorgeous!

Bonn Voyage! Had a great time in #Bonn at my first ATdS conference. After a few days in Germany, it was an immersive experience to be able to attend paper sessions and discussions in German. As someone just starting to learn the language, I appreciate how welcoming everyone was!
