I’m so sorry but the calls for a one day national strike on social media is just so unserious and is completely oblivious to all of the grunt work and person to person organizing that needs to happen in order to get a nation of people empowered and equipped to carry out a strike

this not a strike. it’s more akin to a walkout. which is fine. but calling things by improper names keeps us from doing the work necessary to face the heavy tasks ahead. if my joy, love, laughter, and pancakes are resistance then never need to actually resist.

The entire Minneapolis City Council passed a resolution calling on Governor Tim Walz to impose an eviction moratorium during the ongoing ICE raids.

Not sure the magnitude of this is fully understood: Israel has wiped out 2,700 families in Gaza, leaving 6,000+ people as the sole survivors of entire bloodlines. This is the result of deliberate policy, pursued with full knowledge of its effects. This is not war. It is genocide.
