When Ida hit, Special Collections in Alexander flooded. It’s not as if this couldn’t have been predicted. It’s a recurring issue. Now, they're are closed for the academic year. If only these archival documents could throw a football... @ruaaup #RUtheWorst #PayRUFacilitiesWorkers.

I was excited to have my blurb quoted on the jacket of @RexPickett’s The Archivist, out today. I was really happy to see the entire blurb on Amazon, since it mentions the surfacing of hidden labor and workplace issues as well.

Interesting question for #AskAnArchivist day! Maybe people can't handle the truths we know? Reminds me of how much I loved "History Detectives"(my dream job) on PBS back in the day. Showcased archival work to solve mysteries.
@carynradick @geofhuth #AskAnArchivist day this Weds. Why do you think archivists are so underrepresented in Film and TV? To me, they're like detectives: they scour personal lives in search of the truth & quietly present it as evidence in an archive. The stories are endless!

A1, I've always liked things that weren't *about* archives or archivists but had them "snuck" in to the story #snaprt (I like things about archivists, too, but when they show the records room in a police procedural, I'll shout out "archives!"
