I leave for a week to go camping, and Twitter is acquired by a wannabe god emperor, and Ottawa elects a talk radio host? Yeesh. I should head back into the woods where things are normal.

My post office agent just quoted a Ferengi rule of acquisition to me, so uh, I hope your day is going at least as good as mine.

Wise is totally awesome, and a lovely product that feels like it’s from this decade. All the Canadian banks should take note. Who the hell wants SMS verification?.

Perhaps I’m naive, but wouldn’t you want the mayor of the country’s capital city to have some experience in municipal politics?.

You end up with a library of dishes and a pantry full of things you’ve used. The service could help rotate usage, slowly introduce new things. It would also build cooking confidence, which probably means even more and complex cooking, right?.

This could even be the value they add. Over the weeks, suggest meals that use up stuff they’ve been sending you. Before the box is packed, contact the home cook to verify they still have those left over. Eventually, you’ve got a pantry built out with know how to use them.

Every meal kit delivery service seems to argue that they save money because you don’t waste buying a whole jar of something when you need only a little bit. Do people throw the rest out?!.Why don’t meal kit services build out your pantry over time?.

How much did the Mayor of Ottawa receive from corporate developer executives, their lobbyists and their family members last election? #Ottawa #Ottnews.

Developer influence in #Ottawa is really at an all time high. This Councillor was appointed Chair of Planning by the Mayor knowing how much the development industry gave to her every election. Shouldn’t be a surprise, they bankrolled his election too.

I want to clarify why I wasn't present for Monday's vote on paid sick days. To ensure a safe legislature, we're using a rotating cohort system, as people in the building have tested positive and the PCs refuse to consider virtual sittings. My cohort isn't on duty this week. 1/2.
