Reception had a great day planning their own party, writing song lists and creating their decorations. During the party, they danced, sang, played traditional party games and cooled down with some cake and a lolly ice. A wonderful way to end a fantastic first year of school. 🪩

Year 1 had a special end of year treat today. They had ice cream outside and added their own toppings. They sat and enjoyed them in the shade on picnic blankets. 🍨 ☀️ 😎

Year 1 invited Reception to come and share the moving storybooks they had made. They retold the story of Humpty Dumpty and used levers to make the characters move.

Year 1 made smoothies this week as part of their DT topic. We have been talking about what makes a fruit or a vegetable and what is healthy. They planned their own smoothie and then made it yesterday.

Year 2 had lots of fun using their atlas and research skills to find local and national seaside resorts. We spoke about the features and local landmarks and compared UK resorts with other countries.

Reception have worked hard to write their own stories about a superhero called Joop who is searching for a side-kick. They read their stories to Year 2. Year 2 were very impressed with the detail, handwriting and capital letters and full stops!
