u could get hit by a car. get diagnosed w cancer. someone in your family could die. you could lose your job, your home, your wealth. does one simply give in to the unpredictability? live every day to the fullest (whatever that means)? or humble oneself about our lack of power?.

we are, at any given moment, just a flash of a second away from our lives completely shattering in front of us. at any moment… how does this not humble us.

i don’t ever want to complain about anything ever again. i exist comfortably in a world where people lose their entire families to bombs, kids lose their parents to cancer, where one rash driver can end the lives of multiple people at once, where people are struggling to get by.

none of this matters. nothing matters. all praise to the most high, for all the privilege and blessing we’re surrounded with. there is so much pain and suffering we don’t see or experience. someone is living their worst nightmare at any given moment, and it isn’t you.
